At D R Car Rental, you can rent your desired vehicle without paying any security deposit.

Instead of blocking a large amount on your card (typically between AED 1,000 and AED 6,000), you simply pay a Coverage Fee, which serves as a deposit replacement for the duration of your rental.

This fee is calculated intelligently based on:

  • Vehicle category

  • Rental duration (number of days)

The exact amount will be clearly displayed before you finalize your booking.

How Is the Coverage Fee Calculated?

It’s simple:

  1. Select your desired vehicle

  2. Enter your rental duration (number of days)

  3. Click on the “Calculate Fee” button

What Is the Coverage Fee?

The Coverage Fee is a non-refundable fee that:

  • Replaces the traditional cash security deposit

  • Ensures no funds are blocked on your card

  • Covers the deposit-related risk during your rental period

  • Is provided in cooperation with a trusted third-party service operating similarly to insurance

📌 By paying this fee, you will not be required to pay or block any security deposit.

⚠️ Important Notice:
The Coverage Fee strictly replaces the security deposit amount only. It does not cover traffic fines, Salik (toll charges), fuel costs, damages, accidents, late returns, or any other additional charges. These remain the responsibility of the renter in accordance with standard rental terms and conditions.

Standard Vehicle Security Deposits (Regular Rental Policy)

For full transparency, standard security deposit amounts (in traditional rentals) are typically:

  • Economy vehicles: AED 1,000

  • Mid-range vehicles: AED 2,000

  • Luxury vehicles: AED 5,000

  • Super sports vehicles: AED 6,000

At D R Car Rental, these amounts are neither charged nor blocked. The Coverage Fee fully replaces them.
