In the event of an accident, if the hirer is found responsible, they will be liable to pay the accident penalty, which includes the excess amount of insurance coverage plus 20% of repair costs. Additionally, they will be responsible for the daily rent until the vehicle is fully repaired. However, if the hirer is not at fault and the second party is present, no charges will be applied.

In the unfortunate case of a “TOTAL LOSS” where the vehicle damage is beyond economic repair, the hirer agrees to compensate the insurance company by paying 20% of the total insured value of the car, in addition to the accident penalty of the excess amount of insurance coverage.

It is mandatory for the hirer to possess a valid driving license for a minimum of one (1) year and to be at least 21 years of age. For hirers holding a driving license valid for less than a year or who are under 21 years old, full liability for repair charges and damages is assumed.

The vehicle is intended for use within the UAE, and insurance coverage is applicable only within the UAE territory. Any accidents resulting from the driver’s influence of alcohol or any similar substance will require comprehensive compensation for losses and damages to the vehicle, and the driver shall be fully accountable before the official authorities.

The hirer is responsible for ensuring the safe and secure parking of the vehicle when not in use. Any damages incurred to the vehicle, including those due to natural disasters, are solely the responsibility and liability of the hirer, as insurance cannot cover such incidents.

In cases where damages are not supported by a police report, the hirer will bear full responsibility before the official authorities, in addition to covering the costs of vehicle repair.

No Insurance Coverage In The Following Circumstances

Renting the car from an unknown source.
Driving under the influence of alcohol or any substance having the same effect at the time of the accident.
Allowing the car to be driven by an unauthorized driver.
Any damages caused to the vehicle due to natural disasters, off-road driving, driving in a race track, or within desert areas, and if the car is driven outside the UAE, the hirer will be fully charged 100%.
The hirer authorizes D R Car Rental to recover the vehicle by key reserves from anywhere in the UAE without reference to the hirer.

Fines And Salik Terms In Dubai

The hirer agrees to pay all traffic and parking fines during the rental period. Additionally, the hirer agrees to pay the deposit for traffic and parking fines during or after the rental period, as per the agreement. The company reserves the right, within one month of the end of the rental, to claim any such unpaid amounts from the hirer. The hirer also agrees to pay charges for the car’s passage from the electronic gates of the “SALIK SYSTEM” (5 DHS.) Per Pass.

Conditions Of Car Rental Dubai

In the event of an accident, the hirer should not move the car from the place of the accident before the police inspection is complete. All required documents must be delivered to the rental office immediately; failure to do so will render the hirer fully responsible.

The hirer is responsible for paying the repair and daily rental fee for the period of nonwork due to an accident or technical trouble resulting from the hirer’s carelessness, negligence, or intention. In case of an accident, or technical or mechanical troubles, the hirer must inform the rental office immediately. The hirer can only repair the vehicle after notifying the rental office.

According to the attached checkout list, the vehicle should be returned to the rental office in good condition. The hirer undertakes to keep sufficient water and oil in the vehicle. If the hirer returns the car unclean, cleaning charges will apply. The hirer must also return the vehicle to the office for periodic services.

The hirer must not use the vehicle for off-road driving, races, rallies, competitions, desert areas, or any activities that may damage the vehicle. Any damage to the vehicle resulting from this will be the responsibility of the hirer. The hirer is also responsible for any complement, case, or obligations regarding the vehicle before the office or the official authorities that occur within the hire. Additionally, the hirer will be solely responsible if the vehicle is used to transport any forbidden items in the UAE. The hirer should pay the full contract amount until some arrangement is reached between the hirer and the office.

D R Car Rental will not be responsible for any cash or valuable belongings left or lost inside the vehicle while it was in the hirer’s possession or after the entire rental period. The hirer is allowed to drive 250 km per day. One day’s rent means 24 hours, and more than one hour late will result in a full day charged.

The Hirer Will Also be Liable To Pay The Following Charges:

Car towing service
Decline in value regardless of whether the vehicle is repaired or not
Any amounts paid by ‘Luxury Car Rental’ as a result of the loss or damage to the vehicle, including court costs and legal fees.
Hours And Delivery Terms

The hirer must refrain from subleasing the rented vehicle. Those who aren’t acknowledged on the rental agreement as a driver or a second driver are not authorized to withhold the vehicle. In the event of complaints filed to public authorities, governmental or non-governmental agencies, the hirer who is at fault is liable to pay for all the fees, documentation, and inconveniences brought up for the disability of the rental company. According to the agreement, the specified distance for Tenant’s monthly rent is 4,500 kilometers and more than it pays per kilometer.
